TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

To attain the CPM® certification, ACPM members are required to complete two components of the CPM® program. First, they complete 150-200 hours of independent study. They then attend a week-long residential program hosted by the IEOR Department at Columbia University, June 2-6, 2014. The coursework includes the study of the theory and practice of asset pricing, asset management, risk management, hedge fund management, corporate finance, fixed income analysis and foreign exchange. The CPM® designation is industry-wide recognized, now in its sixth year.

All candidates involved in the program will have the ability to finish in 150-200 hours of study as long as you are willing to put in the time. ACPM and Zoologic are bound by a one year license per candidate, if you are unable to finish within a year of receiving your log-in you may sign up for 1 additional year for a fee $500.  

Important Policies:

Those who register and pay will be allowed a 30 day "look" to evaluate whether or not you will complete the course. Should you opt out during that time period, ACPM will provide a refund less a $350 cancellation fee. After the 30 day "look” no refunds will be issued. All opt outs/cancellations MUST be made in writing and sent to the ACPM office at admin@academyofcpm.org

Eligibility criteria for CPM® candidates is as follows:

  • Must be a sole practitioner, portfolio managers or on teams
  • Must have at least five years experience and at least $10 million is assets-under-management
  • Certification by a supervising compliance officer that the candidate has a clean compliance record

Eligibility criteria exceptions - all exceptions shall be reviewed by the exeception committee. The exception committee shall bring exceptions of merit before the board, and a 2/3 affirmative vote of the board of directors shall be required to grant exceptions to potential CPM® Candidates. All exception requests should be submitted to ACPM at admin@academyofcpm.org.
