Brendan Ahern, KraneShares

Brendan Ahern is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at KraneShares where he is in charge of the firm’s research, education and investor outreach efforts. He was an early pioneer of the US exchange traded fund (ETF) industry as one of the first 20 employees of iShares by BlackRock. Within iShares, Brendan experienced the proliferation of ETFs and the growth of the ETF industry firsthand.

During his tenure at iShares he saw AUM grow from a few billion to $1.5 trillion. This “from the ground up” experience forged his comprehensive expertise with all aspects of the ETF industry including product development, marketing, branding, and business strategy. Brendan’s role at KraneShares ensures he visits China frequently. He is a veracious consumer of Chinese financial news and is in regular contact with the firm’s Chinese partners.

Brendan is considered a preeminent expert in global financial markets with a particular focus on China, and is often sought after by leading business and financial outlets including but not limited to CNBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal and Investor’s Business Daily.

Brendan graduated from the College of the Holy Cross and has a Master of Science in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco.


Kimball Brooker Jr., First Eagle Investment Management

Kimball joined First Eagle Investment Management as a senior research analyst in 2009 covering banks, financial services and holding companies. He joined the Global Value team in 2010. Kimball began his career in 1992 as a financial analyst at Lazard Frères & Co. From there, he joined J.P. Morgan as an associate in the Investment Banking Department's billion-dollar Corsair private equity funds. In 1998, Kimball returned to J.P. Morgan after finishing his MBA. He was named Chief Investment Officer of the Corsair Funds and managing director in 2005. In 2006, Corsair successfully completed a spin-off from J.P. Morgan with nearly $3 billion under management.

Kimball received his BA from Yale University and his MBA from Harvard University.



Robert Bush, DWS

Joined the Company in 2015 with 9 years of industry experience. Prior to joining, Robert served as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia Business School focusing on Capital Markets, Investing and Equity Derivatives. Previously, he worked as an economist at the UK Treasury in London. Before that, he was a bond, commodities and equity trader.

Mario Gabelli, GAMCO Investors Inc.

Mario J. Gabelli is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GAMCO Investors, Inc., the firm he founded in 1977. A 1965 summa cum laude graduate of Fordham University's College of Business Administration, he also holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and honorary doctorates from Fordham University and Roger Williams University.

Mr. Gabelli serves on the Boards of Boston College, Roger Williams University, Columbia University Graduate School of Business, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation, the Foundation for Italian Art & Culture and is a Trustee of the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States and of the E.L. Wiegand Foundation. He was Morningstar's Portfolio Manager of the Year in 1997. He was named Money Manager of the Year by Institutional Investor for 2011 and is a member of Barron's All Star Century Team.



Danny Gallagher, Process for Growth Consulting

Daniel Gallagher is a Senior Sales Executive in the retail financial services industry with an expertise in Sales Management, Complex Office Management, Compliance, Coaching and Risk.  Extensive sales experience encompasses a wide range of financial products and client centric skill sets. Proven track record of success in forming, managing and driving revenue of financial advisor teams through a process of analysis and metric development.  


Chris Hamilton, Invesco

Christopher Hamilton is Head of Portfolio Advisory for Invesco Global Investment Solutions. In this role, Mr. Hamilton leads Advisory Solutions efforts in the wealth management intermediary marketplace, with a focus on providing multi-asset portfolio construction research and guidance to financial advisors and wealth management platforms. As part of the Invesco Global Solutions franchise, he delivers in-depth portfolio research, analytics tools and investment solutions to investors across North America.

Prior to assuming his current position, he was part of the Wealth Management Intermediary strategy team, focused on developing multi-faceted distribution strategies for key clients across multiple channels.

Prior to joining Invesco, Mr. Hamilton was a portfolio manager for U.S. Trust, focused on building out asset allocation and portfolio construction frameworks, and leading manager selection efforts for high-net worth individuals and institutions. He was also director of business analysis for Phillips 66, where he engaged in merger, acquisition and divestiture efforts, as well as capital market activities for the organization.

Mr. Hamilton earned a BA degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and an MBA from Rice University. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Houston.



Jonathan Krane, KraneShares

Jonathan Krane is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of KraneShares, an asset management firm delivering China-focused exchange traded funds to global investors. KraneShares focuses on providing expert access and products for investors to gain exposure to China’s capital markets. Jonathan has spent the last fifteen years working with companies in China. He previously founded a leading media and entertainment company in China which was later sold to a publicly traded multi-national corporation.

Jonathan received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Connecticut College. He is on the board of the US-China Strong Foundation and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).



Scott McCoy, Morgan Stanley

Scott McCoy, CFP®, Managing Director - Wealth Management/Corporate Cash Investment Director/International Client Advisor/Senior Portfolio Management Director, is a member of Morgan Stanley’s 2016 President’s Club. Scott brings over 25 years of fixed income experience to The Tribeca Group’s clients.

Before joining the firm in 2008, Scott was a Senior Managing Director and institutional fixed income salesperson in the Middle Markets Group at Bear Stearns. There, he served the fixed income needs of institutional clients, including depository institutions, money managers, insurance companies, and hedge funds. Prior to that, he traded government bonds at Citicorp Securities where he was responsible for the short coupon sector.

A graduate of Holy Cross College, Scott holds a J.D. from St. John's University and an M.B.A. from New York University.


Fred Meissner, The FRED Report

Fred Meissner, president of the Fred Report, has been practicing technical market analysis since 1983 and has worked in the research departments of Merrill Lynch and Robinson-Humphrey/Smith Barney. In addition, he has served the public as a portfolio manager and financial adviser. Meissner is a past president of the Market Technicians Association and is a frequent contributor to Barron's,, and Meissner holds a B.S. from Trinity University as well as an M.A. from UCLA. He is also a chartered market technician (CMT). Meissner is a frequent lecturer for the finance programs at Howard University and the University of Richmond.



Tano Santos, Columbia University

Professor Tano Santos is the David L. and Elsie M. Dodd Professor of Finance at the Columbia Business School, which he joined in 2003. He is the co-director, with Bruce Greenwald, of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham and Dodd Investing. From 1996 to 2003 he was at the finance group of the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago (now the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business). He is member of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) as well as of all the major professional organizations. Professor Santos obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Economics of the University of Chicago. His thesis was concerned with the economic determinants of financial innovations as well as the effect that these have on the credit quality of market participants and of pre-existing financial markets. Professor Santos’s research is divided in three areas. A first area of interest is concerned with the role of financial intermediaries in markets. Specifically Professor Santos has studied whether intermediaries, such as derivatives exchanges, competing for volume June drive the credit quality of market participants below or above optimal levels and thus whether regulatory intervention is required to restore efficiency. His recent work in this area focuses on the role of the private provision of liquidity in financial crisis and the role and efficiency of the public provision of liquidity.


Jonathan Shelon, KraneShares

Jonathan is the Chief Operating Officer at KraneShares and joined the firm in 2015. He has extensive experience in managing investment portfolios and diverse teams at leading asset management organizations. Prior to Krane, he was the Chief Investment Officer of the Specialized Strategies Team at J.P. Morgan, overseeing $40 billion in AUM. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Jonathan was a portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments where he was responsible for $150 billion in assets for over five million shareholders in Fidelity’s target date strategies, the Freedom Funds.

Before Fidelity, Jonathan was a quantitative consultant in the Capital Markets Research Group of Callan Associates where he developed strategic investment plans for institutional clients.

Jonathan received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in actuarial science from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
